21 Expressions of Interest received for Development of Anchor Street/Fuk Tsun Street Project in Tai Kok Tsui
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of 21 Expressions of Interest for the development of Anchor Street/Fuk Tsun Street Project in Tai Kok Tsui when the invitation for submission closed today (Wednesday). A tender review panel under the URA Board will shortlist qualified developers and invite them to submit tenders for the development project soon. The project site covers an area of 726 square metres. The URA plans to redevelop the site into a 23-storey hotel providing about 200 rooms and ancillary accommodation with a total gross floor area of 6,529 square metres. (ENDS)

URA’s Hang On Street demand-led redevelopment project attains 92% acceptance rate
Property owners representing 92 percent of the undivided shares of the Hang On Street demand-led redevelopment project in Kwun Tong have signed agreements to sell their properties to the Urban Renewal Authority within the 75-day conditional offer period expiring today (Wednesday). This demand-led project at Nos. 12 - 30 Hang On Street (even numbers) was commenced in November 2014. It is the third demand-led redevelopment project under the third round of the pilot scheme. Conditional acquisition offers were issued to property owners in the project on 16 January 2015. After the authorisation by the Secretary for Development to proceed with the project, and subject to no appeal or dismissal of all appeals 30 days after the publication of the authorisation, the URA will complete agreements

Invitation for Expressions of Interest for Development of Anchor Street/Fuk Tsun Street Project in Tai Kok Tsui
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will invite interested developers to submit Expressions of Interest for the development of Anchor Street / Fuk Tsun Street Project in Tai Kok Tsui tomorrow (Thursday).The project site covers an area of 726 square metres. The URA plans to redevelop the site into a 23-storey hotel providing about 200 rooms and ancillary accommodation with a total gross floor area of 6,529 square metres. Developers interested in the development are requested to substantiate their development experience and financial capability to undertake the development in accordance with the requirements and criteria set by the URA. Emperor International Holdings Limited wins development contract of URA’s Fuk Wing Street Project in Sham Shui Po
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) Board today (Tuesday) announced that Wealthy Wide Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Emperor International Holdings Limited, has won the contract for the development of Fuk Wing Street Project. The URA earlier invited a number of pre-qualified property developers to submit a tender for the project. The URA received a total of 13 tender offers when the tender closed. After careful deliberation, the URA Board considered that the tender offer made by Emperor International Holdings Limited has met the tender requirements of the project and represented the best offer to the Authority, and thus decided to award the development contract to Emperor International Holdings Limited. URA encourages young people to care about sustainable development through performing arts
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) has continued this year to organise a series of education and outreach activities encompassing the issues of urban regeneration to inspire young people to learn more about urban renewal. This year, the finale of the secondary school drama competition and gala show of the roving drama workshop for primary students were held on 13 March at the Youth Square in Chai Wan with nearly 400 people participating. URA’s Fuk Wing Street Project in Sham Shui Po received 13 tender offers
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Friday) announced that a total of 13 tender offers have been received for the Fuk Wing Street Project in Sham Shui Po. A tender review panel will consider the tenders received and make recommendation to the URA Board for a decision on the award of a development agreement in respect of this project. Earlier, the URA invited 26 property developers to tender for the development of the project after they put forward their expressions of interest. The project covers a site area of about 596 square metres, between Castle Peak Road and Cheung Wah Street. Upon completion, it is planned to provide more than 90 residential units with a total residential gross floor area of about 4,471 square metres and 559 square metres of commercial gross floor area. URA’s Community Service Partnership Scheme serves thousand residents in old districts
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) has partnered with 10 tertiary institutions and non-government organisations in 2014/15 academic year to bring love and care to the disadvantaged families, senior citizens, ethnic minority and visually-impaired people in old districts under the Community Service Partnership Scheme (CSPS). CSPS is a collective effort to bring hearty services to people in the old districts. Through collaboration with universities and social service organisations, volunteer teams comprising URA staff and tertiary students have served the residents in the old districts under various programmes. Since the launch of CSPS in 2012/13 academic year, some 4,000 service hours have been achieved by about 440 volunteers for nearly 1,000 residents in the old districts. An appreciatio

URA issues acquisition offers to owners of Castle Peak Road / Un Chau Street Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Friday) issued acquisition offers to property owners affected by the Castle Peak Road / Un Chau Street Development Project in Sham Shui Po. Eligible owner-occupiers of domestic properties affected by the project are offered $10,649 per square foot of saleable area, which is equivalent to the unit rate of a notional replacement flat of seven-year-old situated in similar locality and of similar size. The acquisition offers for the project were deliberated and approved by the Land, Rehousing and Compensation Committee of the URA Board earlier. The Castle Peak Road / Un Chau Street project affects a total of 101 property interests. Property owners will have 60 days to consider the URA's offers. The URA's prevailing acquisition policy for both domest
