Paliburg and Regal Hotels International win development contract of URA’s Anchor Street/Fuk Tsun Street Project in Tai Kok Tsui
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Tuesday) announced that a consortium, Ultimate Lead Limited, consisting of Paliburg Holdings Limited and Regal Hotels International Holdings Limited, has won the contract for the development of Anchor Street/Fuk Tsun Street Project in Tai Kok Tsui. The URA earlier invited a number of pre-qualified property developers to submit a tender for the project. The URA received a total of 10 tender offers when the tender closed. After careful deliberation, the URA Board considered that the tender offer made by the consortium has met the tender requirements of the project and represented the best offer to the Authority, and thus decided to award the development contract to the consortium. URA welcomes appointment of Daniel Lam Chun as interim Managing Director
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Friday) welcomes the Government's appointment of Mr Daniel Lam Chun as Managing Director of the URA for an interim period of 10 months with effect from 15 June 2015. Meanwhile, an open recruitment exercise for the URA Managing Director post has kicked off. The Chairman of the URA, Mr Victor So Hing-woh, said: "Mr Lam has been a non-executive director of the URA Board appointed by the Government since 2008, giving his wise counsel and guidance to the Authority in carrying out its mission over the years. With his wealth of experience and profound knowledge, I am confident that his standing in would be conducive to the smooth operation of the URA." Invitation to Tender for Development of Pak Tai Street/San Shan Road Project in Ma Tau Kok
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Wednesday) invited a total of 32 property developers to tender for the development of Pak Tai Street/San Shan Road Project in Ma Tau Kok. Following the expression of interest exercise which was closed on 21 May 2015, a tender review panel under the URA Board has decided to invite 32 qualified property developers to tender for the project (full list at annex), after taking into consideration their experience and financial strength to undertake the development in accordance with the requirements and criteria set by the Authority. URA integrates and enhances building rehabilitation service
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Tuesday) announced that it would integrate and enhance the Integrated Building Maintenance Assistance Scheme (IBMAS) to tie in with the forthcoming extension of its service area to the whole of Hong Kong, with an aim to benefit more property owners living in unsatisfactory living condition. The IBMAS is a one-stop building rehabilitation service jointly managed by the URA and the Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) since 1 April 2011, providing technical and financial assistance to eligible property owners of private residential/composite buildings. URA’s Anchor Street/Fuk Tsun Street Project in Tai Kok Tsui received 10 tender offers
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Tuesday) announced that a total of 10 tender offers have been received for the Anchor Street/Fuk Tsun Street Project in Tai Kok Tsui. A tender review panel will consider the tenders received and make recommendation to the URA Board for a decision on the award of a development agreement in respect of this project. Earlier, the URA extended the invitation to tender for the project to Golden Code Development Limited on 8 May 2015 after the tender review panel reconsidered its expression of interest with supplementary information submitted to substantiate its hotel development experience. URA commences the fourth and last redevelopment project in the third round of demand-led pilot scheme
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Friday) announced the commencement of the fourth and last demand-led redevelopment project in the third round demand-led pilot scheme. The project, located at Nos. 5 - 13 Ash Street (odd number) in Tai Kok Tsui, is the 11th demand-led project commenced by the URA since the introduction of the demand-led pilot scheme in 2011. Occupying a site area of about 474 square metres, the project comprises five building blocks which were built in 1965 and in varied condition with unauthorised building structures. The living condition is considered unsatisfactory. The project affects a total of 79 property interests (including 65 domestic and 14 non-domestic property interests). 32 Expressions of Interest received for Development of Pak Tai Street/San Shan Road Project in Ma Tau Kok
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of 32 Expressions of Interest for the development of Pak Tai Street/San Shan Road project in Ma Tau Kok when the invitation for submission closed today (Thursday). A tender review panel under the URA Board will shortlist qualified developers and invite them to submit tenders for the development project soon. The project site covers an area of about 1,087 square metres. Upon completion, it is planned to provide about 160 residential units with a total residential gross floor area of about 8,152 square metres and 1,631 square metres of commercial gross floor area. Invitation for Expressions of Interest for Development of Pak Tai Street / San Shan Road Project in Ma Tau Kok
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will invite interested developers to submit Expressions of Interest for the development of Pak Tai Street / San Shan Road Project in Ma Tau Kok beginning next Monday (11 May 2015). The project site covers an area of about 1,087 square metres. Upon completion, it is planned to provide about 160 residential units with a total residential gross floor area of about 8,152 square metres and 1,631 square metres of commercial gross floor area. Developers interested in the development are requested to substantiate their development experience and financial capability to undertake the development in accordance with the requirements and criteria set by the URA. Public open space at URA’s Kweilin Street project commemorates former New Asia College site
A new public open space is provided by the Lai Chi Kok Road/Kweilin Street and Yee Kuk Street project of the Urban Renewal Authority (URA), celebrating the historical connection of the New Asia College (NAC), which was located on this project site back in the 1950's. Nos. 61 - 65 Kweilin Street were formerly campus of NAC. NAC now forms part of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The URA has given careful consideration to this unique cultural link during the design of this 580 square-metre public open space.
