URA’s Fuk Wing Street Project in Sham Shui Po received 13 tender offers
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Friday) announced that a total of 13 tender offers have been received for the Fuk Wing Street Project in Sham Shui Po. A tender review panel will consider the tenders received and make recommendation to the URA Board for a decision on the award of a development agreement in respect of this project. Earlier, the URA invited 26 property developers to tender for the development of the project after they put forward their expressions of interest. The project covers a site area of about 596 square metres, between Castle Peak Road and Cheung Wah Street. Upon completion, it is planned to provide more than 90 residential units with a total residential gross floor area of about 4,471 square metres and 559 square metres of commercial gross floor area. URA’s Community Service Partnership Scheme serves thousand residents in old districts
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) has partnered with 10 tertiary institutions and non-government organisations in 2014/15 academic year to bring love and care to the disadvantaged families, senior citizens, ethnic minority and visually-impaired people in old districts under the Community Service Partnership Scheme (CSPS). CSPS is a collective effort to bring hearty services to people in the old districts. Through collaboration with universities and social service organisations, volunteer teams comprising URA staff and tertiary students have served the residents in the old districts under various programmes. Since the launch of CSPS in 2012/13 academic year, some 4,000 service hours have been achieved by about 440 volunteers for nearly 1,000 residents in the old districts. An appreciatio

URA issues acquisition offers to owners of Castle Peak Road / Un Chau Street Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Friday) issued acquisition offers to property owners affected by the Castle Peak Road / Un Chau Street Development Project in Sham Shui Po. Eligible owner-occupiers of domestic properties affected by the project are offered $10,649 per square foot of saleable area, which is equivalent to the unit rate of a notional replacement flat of seven-year-old situated in similar locality and of similar size. The acquisition offers for the project were deliberated and approved by the Land, Rehousing and Compensation Committee of the URA Board earlier. The Castle Peak Road / Un Chau Street project affects a total of 101 property interests. Property owners will have 60 days to consider the URA's offers. Invitation to Tender for Development of Fuk Wing Street Project in Sham Shui Po
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Friday) invited a total of 26 property developers to tender for the development of Fuk Wing Street project in Sham Shui Po. Following the expression of interest exercise which was closed on 12 January 2015, a tender review panel under the URA Board has decided to invite 26 qualified property developers to tender for the project (full list at annex), after taking into consideration their experience and financial strength to undertake the development in accordance with the requirements and criteria set by the Authority. URA commences 9th redevelopment project in Kowloon City
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Friday) commenced the planning procedure of a Development Project at Chun Tin Street/Sung Chi Street in Kowloon City, commencing the eighth redevelopment project initiated by the Authority in addition to a demand-led redevelopment project now under way in the district. At a media briefing to outline details of the project, Director (Acquisition and Clearance) of the URA, Mr Ian Wong, said the problem of urban decay was serious in Kowloon City and the URA is committed to enhancing the living conditions in the district through continuous efforts in redevelopment and rehabilitation. Property acquisition for Hang On Street demand-led redevelopment project to start soon
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will soon issue conditional acquisition offers to property owners affected by the Hang On Street demand-led redevelopment project in Kwun Tong following its commencement in November 2014. It is the third demand-led redevelopment project under the third round of the pilot scheme. URA to provide subsidised flats for sale
With respect to the announcement made by the Chief Executive in the 2015 Policy Address today (Wednesday) stating that the Government must actively explore ways to increase the supply of sale flats through a multi-pronged approach by engaging public or non-profit-making organisations including the Urban Renewal Authority (URA), the URA Board held a special meeting to discuss the matter this afternoon. The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of 27 Expressions of Interest for the development of Fuk Wing Street project in Sham Shui Po when the invitation for submission closed today (Monday). Cheung Kong (Holdings) Ltd and Far East Consortium International Limited winning development contracts of two URA projects in Sham Shui Po
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) Board today (Monday) announced that Swiss Investments Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cheung Kong (Holdings) Ltd, has won the contract for the development of Hai Tan Street/Kweilin Street & Pei Ho Street project. The URA also decided to award the contract for the development of Nos. 229A - G Hai Tan Street demand-led project to Cheong Sing Property Development Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Far East Consortium International Limited.
