Invitation to Tender for Development of Fuk Wing Street Project in Sham Shui Po
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Friday) invited a total of 26 property developers to tender for the development of Fuk Wing Street project in Sham Shui Po. Following the expression of interest exercise which was closed on 12 January 2015, a tender review panel under the URA Board has decided to invite 26 qualified property developers to tender for the project (full list at annex), after taking into consideration their experience and financial strength to undertake the development in accordance with the requirements and criteria set by the Authority. All tender submissions should reach the URA Headquarters at 26/F COSCO Tower, 183 Queen's Road Central, by 5:00 pm on Friday, 13 March 2015. URA commences 9th redevelopment project in Kowloon City
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Friday) commenced the planning procedure of a Development Project at Chun Tin Street/Sung Chi Street in Kowloon City, commencing the eighth redevelopment project initiated by the Authority in addition to a demand-led redevelopment project now under way in the district. At a media briefing to outline details of the project, Director (Acquisition and Clearance) of the URA, Mr Ian Wong, said the problem of urban decay was serious in Kowloon City and the URA is committed to enhancing the living conditions in the district through continuous efforts in redevelopment and rehabilitation. Property acquisition for Hang On Street demand-led redevelopment project to start soon
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will soon issue conditional acquisition offers to property owners affected by the Hang On Street demand-led redevelopment project in Kwun Tong following its commencement in November 2014. It is the third demand-led redevelopment project under the third round of the pilot scheme. Eligible owner-occupiers of domestic properties of Nos. 12 - 30 Hang On Street (even numbers) will be offered $11,695 per square foot of saleable area which is equivalent to the unit rate of a notional replacement flat of seven-year-old situated in similar locality and of similar size. URA to provide subsidised flats for sale
With respect to the announcement made by the Chief Executive in the 2015 Policy Address today (Wednesday) stating that the Government must actively explore ways to increase the supply of sale flats through a multi-pronged approach by engaging public or non-profit-making organisations including the Urban Renewal Authority (URA), the URA Board held a special meeting to discuss the matter this afternoon. 27 Expressions of Interest received for Development of Fuk Wing Street Project in Sham Shui Po
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of 27 Expressions of Interest for the development of Fuk Wing Street project in Sham Shui Po when the invitation for submission closed today (Monday). A tender review panel under the URA Board will shortlist qualified developers and invite them to submit tenders for the development project soon. The project covers a site area of about 596 square metres, abutting Fuk Wing Street between Castle Peak Road and Cheung Wah Street. Upon completion, it is planned to deliver more than 90 residential units with a total residential gross floor area of about 4,471 square metres and 559 square metres of commercial gross floor area. The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will invite interested developers to submit Expressions of Interest for the development of Fuk Wing Street project in Sham Shui Po beginning next Monday (29 December 2014). The project covers a site area of about 596 square metres, abutting Fuk Wing Street between Castle Peak Road and Cheung Wah Street. Upon completion, it is planned to deliver about 90 residential units with a total residential gross floor area of about 4,471 square metres and 559 square metres of commercial gross floor area. The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) Board today (Monday) announced that Swiss Investments Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cheung Kong (Holdings) Ltd, has won the contract for the development of Hai Tan Street/Kweilin Street & Pei Ho Street project. The URA also decided to award the contract for the development of Nos. 229A - G Hai Tan Street demand-led project to Cheong Sing Property Development Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Far East Consortium International Limited. A total of 11 tender offers received for two URA projects in Sham Shui Po
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Monday) announced that nine tender offers have been received for the Hai Tan Street/Kweilin Street & Pei Ho Street project and two tender offers for Nos. 229A - G Hai Tan Street demand-led project. A tender review panel will consider the tenders received and make recommendation to the URA Board for a decision on the award of two separate development agreements in respect of these two projects. URA announces revisions to demand-led redevelopment projects pilot scheme and facilitating services pilot scheme
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Friday) announced the revisions to the pilot schemes of its demand-led redevelopment project and facilitating services following the decision of the URA Board earlier. The demand-led redevelopment project and facilitating services pilot schemes were among the key initiatives set out in the 2011 Urban Renewal Strategy which enables the URA to take a more diverse approach in redevelopment to speed up the pace of urban renewal. The URA has conducted a comprehensive review of the demand-led redevelopment project pilot scheme based on the experience from the last three rounds of applications received. URA welcomes appointments to the Board
The Chairman of the Urban Renewal Authority (URA), Mr Victor So Hing-woh, today (Friday) welcomed the appointment of four new non-executive directors (non-official) and re-appointment of four non-executive directors (non-official) to the URA Board by the Government. The four newly-appointed non-executive directors are Legislative Council members Alice Mak Mei-kuen and Wu Chi-wai, Dr Gregg Li and Dr Lawrence Poon Wing-cheung. Legislative Council member Dennis Kwok Wing-hang, Mr Philip Kan Siu-lun, Mr Daniel Lam Chun and Dr Billy Mak Sui-choi have also been re-appointed as non-executive directors of the URA Board.
