URA issues acquisition offers to Shantung Street/Thistle Street Development Scheme
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) yesterday (10 March 2022) issued acquisition offers to property owners affected by the Shantung Street/Thistle Street Development Scheme (the Project) in Mong Kok. Eligible owner-occupiers of domestic properties of the Project will be offered $18,378 per square foot of saleable area, which is the unit rate of a seven-year old notional replacement flat situated in the same locality (“Notional Unit Rate”). The Notional Unit Rate was approved by the Land, Rehousing and Compensation Committee (LRCC) of the URA Board. Tender Award for Development of Four URA Projects in To Kwa Wan
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) announced today (3 March 2022) that the contract for the combined development of four projects[1] located at Hung Fook Street, Kai Ming Street and Wing Kwong Street in To Kwa Wan (the Development) has been awarded to Centenary Investments Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CK Asset Holdings Limited, with a tender amount at HK$5,996 million. The URA earlier invited 30 property developers / consortia to submit tenders for the Development following an expression of interest exercise. The URA received a total of seven tenders from these 30 property developers / consortia when the submission of tender closed on 10 February 2022. Seven Tenders Received for Development of Four URA Projects in To Kwa Wan
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of seven tenders for the combined development of four projects[1] located at Hung Fook Street, Kai Ming Street and Wing Kwong Street in To Kwa Wan (the Development) when the invitation for submission of tender closed today (10 February 2022). A tender review panel (TRP) under the URA Board will consider the tenders received and make recommendation to the URA Board for its decision on the award of the Development. The URA earlier invited interested property developers/ consortia to submit Expressions of Interest for the Development. After careful consideration of the Expressions of Interest received, the TRP invited 30 property developers/ consortia to submit tenders. URA Publishes Tender Amounts of Unsuccessful Submissions for Hung Fook Street / Ngan Hon Street Development Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (31 January 2022) published on an anonymous basis the tender amounts offered by the unsuccessful but conforming tenderers in the tender for the development of Hung Fook Street / Ngan Hon Street Development Project (the Project) in To Kwa Wan. The URA commenced the tender exercise of the Project earlier and a total of eight tenders were received when the tender closed on 25 November 2021. After careful deliberation by the URA Board, the URA awarded the tender for the Project to Port Destiny Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kerry Properties Limited, on 16 December 2021. Temporary Closure of URA Public Facilities from Tomorrow
In view of the Government’s latest measures to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) announces today (6 January 2022) that its public facilities will be temporarily closed from tomorrow (Friday, 7 January 2022). Facilities to be temporarily closed include the Urban Renewal Exploration Centre and SPORTS EXPO, as well as the community spaces and exhibition areas of H6 CONET, 7 Mallory Street and 618 Shanghai Street. The related booking service has been provisionally suspended. While the Urban Renewal Resource Centre will remain open during office hours, its multi-purpose room and meeting rooms will be temporarily closed. The related booking service has also been suspended. Invitation to Tender for Development of Four URA Projects in To Kwa Wan
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (4 January 2022) invites a total of 30 property developers/ consortia to tender for the combined development of four projects[1] located at Hung Fook Street, Kai Ming Street and Wing Kwong Street in To Kwa Wan (the Development). The URA will provide the relevant tender documents to the invited property developers/ consortia, based on which they can submit tenders for the development. All tender submissions should reach the URA Headquarters at 26/F COSCO Tower, 183 Queen’s Road Central, by 12:00 noon on 10 February 2022 (Thursday). Any submission of the tender received after the specified closing time mentioned above will not be accepted. The tender review panel will consider the tenders received and then make a recommendation to the URA Board

“Mallory Wishes Come True” City’s First Interactive Wishing Tree Brings Pizzazz to 7 Mallory Street Revitalisation Project in Wan Chai
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) held the opening ceremony of “Mallory Wishes Come True” on 17 December 2021 at 7 Mallory Street (M7) in Wan Chai, which became the first community event after the venue was given a new operating position with the theme of “Building Culture, Connecting Lives”. The re-positioned M7 unveiled Hong Kong’s first interactive neon “wishing tree”. The 4.5 m tall “wishing tree” was set up at M7’s public open space to showcase the history of Wan Chai through sophisticated and interactive audio and visual effects in an immersive way, bringing a new experience to the visitors. The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of 31 Expressions of Interest for the combined development (the Development) of four projects[1] located at Hung Fook Street, Kai Ming Street and Wing Kwong Street in To Kwa Wan when the invitation for submission closed today (7 December 2021). A tender review panel under the URA Board will shortlist the qualified developers / consortia from the submissions, taking into consideration their development experience and financial capability to undertake the Development in accordance with the shortlisting criteria set by the tender review panel. URA Hosts Photography Exhibition on Hong Kong Paralympic Athletes at YM²
To celebrate the remarkable success of Hong Kong’s athletes at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games and the 11th National Games for Persons with Disabilities, the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) hosted the opening ceremony for the Paralympic Photography Exhibition (The Exhibition) at Kwun Tong’s YM² today(3 December 2021). The theme for the Exhibition centres around the achievements of the Paralympic athletes, and features photographs, several Paralympic torches, and medals won by athletes from previous Paralympic Games. The event aims to recognise the contribution of and efforts by every athlete and to garner public support for the development of Para Sports in Hong Kong.
