Eight Tenders Received for URA’s Hung Fook Street / Ngan Hon Street Development Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of eight tenders for the Hung Fook Street / Ngan Hon Street Development Project (the Project) in To Kwa Wan when the invitation for submission of tender closed today (25 November 2021). A tender review panel (TRP) under the URA Board will consider the tenders received and make recommendation to the URA Board for its decision on the award of the development of the Project. The URA earlier invited interested developers/ consortia to submit Expressions of Interest for the Project. Invitation for Expressions of Interest for Development of Four URA Projects in To Kwa Wan
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will invite interested developers/consortia to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the combined development (the Development) of four projects1 located at Hung Fook Street, Kai Ming Street and Wing Kwong Street in To Kwa Wan tomorrow (23 November 2021). The four projects with a total site area of 5,438 square metres covering two adjoining sites, namely Hung Fook Street / Kai Ming Street and Wing Kwong Street / Kai Ming Street, were commenced between 2013 and 2017. Upon completion, the two adjoining sites in total will provide a maximum total gross floor areas of 48,942 square metres. The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) has been improving the standard of housing and the built environment of Hong Kong by carrying out urban renewal for the past 20 years, since its establishment under the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance in 2001. The URA commemorated its 20th Anniversary today (19 November 2021) which marked a key milestone in urban renewal, bringing forth urban regeneration on all fronts to improve the living environment of older areas, thereby creating quality, environmentally-sustainable and liveable homes. Invitation to Tender for URA’s Hung Fook Street / Ngan Hon Street Development Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (26 October 2021) invites a total of 34 property developers/ consortia to tender for the development of the Hung Fook Street / Ngan Hon Street Development Project (the Project) in To Kwa Wan. The URA will provide the relevant tender documents to the invited property developers/ consortia, based on which they can submit tenders for the development. All tender submissions should reach the URA Headquarters at 26/F COSCO Tower, 183 Queen’s Road Central, by 12:00 noon on 25 November 2021 (Thursday). Any submission of the tender received after the specified closing time mentioned above will not be accepted. URA Publishes Tender Amounts of Unsuccessful Submissions for Bailey Street / Wing Kwong Street Development Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (20 October 2021) published on an anonymous basis the tender amounts offered by the unsuccessful but conforming tenderers in the tender for the development of Bailey Street / Wing Kwong Street Development Project (the Project) in To Kwa Wan. The URA commenced the tender exercise of the Project earlier and a total of six tenders were received when the tender closed on 23 August 2021. After careful deliberation by the URA Board, the URA awarded the tender for the Project to Nation Star Development Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Henderson Land Development Company Limited, on 9 September 2021. Responses by URA to 2021 Policy Address
In response to the announcement made by the Chief Executive in the 2021 Policy Address today (6 October 2021) on the new initiatives to enhance urban renewal, the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) said the URA welcomes the new initiatives that aims to speed up the pace and enhance the effectiveness of urban renewal. URA Chairman, Mr Chow Chung-kong, said, “The URA supports Government’s new initiatives in relation to urban renewal. We welcome the Government’s endorsement of URA’s district-based approach for Yau Ma Tei and Mong Kok, including piloting planning tools such as transfer of plot ratio and street consolidation. 36 Expressions of Interest Received for URA’s Hung Fook Street / Ngan Hon Street Development Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of 36 Expressions of Interest for the development of the Hung Fook Street / Ngan Hon Street Development Project (the Project) in To Kwa Wan when the invitation for submission closed today (28 September 2021). A tender review panel under the URA Board will shortlist the qualified developers/ consortia from the submissions, taking into consideration their development experience and financial capability to undertake the development in accordance with the shortlisting criteria set by the tender review panel. URA Further Extends Rent Relief Period for Its Tenants
In view of the ongoing impact brought by COVID-19 pandemic to the economy of Hong Kong, the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) announces today (27 September 2021) to further extend the rent relief for its domestic and commercial tenants in its properties for another six months, from October 2021 until the end of March 2022, in a bid to assist the URA’s tenants in the face of current economic challenges amid the pandemic to sustain their businesses and support employment. The URA’s rent relief measures have been in place since April 2020, with the amount of rent concession to date exceeding $120 million. URA Commences Two Redevelopment Projects in Sham Shui Po Optimising Land Resources to Enhance Urban Renewal Effectiveness
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (24 September 2021) commences the statutory planning procedures of two redevelopment projects in Sham Shui Po. The URA has been adopting a planning-led approach in which a holistic study and plan for the old district are formulated before finalising a project, such that the usage of land is being examined in a holistic manner for restructuring and re-planning, with an aim to enhance the development potential of the area and improve the overall living conditions of the resident through redevelopment. URA’s YM² Hosts HK’s First Major Photography & Sculpture Exhibition on Our Athletes at Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games
To celebrate the most outstanding results ever achieved by Hong Kong’s athletes at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games (“Tokyo 2020”,) the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) hosts the Opening Ceremony for the "Sporting Successes, Cheer Up Hongkongers” Photography and Sculpture Exhibition at Kwun Tong’s YM² today (20 September 2021). This is the first time Hong Kong has presented a Tokyo 2020-themed photography exhibition of this scale. In addition, sculptures of Hong Kong’s Olympic medallists from Tokyo 2020 and the previous Games will also be on display. The event seeks to recognise the performance of and cheer on Hong Kong’s athletes, and to generate community support for all the local sportsmen and sportswomen.
