Invitation to Tender for Development of URA’s Tung Chau Street/Kweilin Street Redevelopment Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Thursday) invites a total of 38 property developers to tender for the development of the Tung Chau Street/Kweilin Street Redevelopment Project (the Project) in Sham Shui Po. The URA will provide the relevant tender documents to the invited property developers, based on which they can submit tenders for the development. All tender submissions should reach the URA Headquarters at 26/F, COSCO Tower, 183 Queen’s Road Central, by 12:00 noon on 30 May 2018 (Wednesday). Any submission of the tender received after the specified closing time mentioned above will not be accepted. The tender review panel will consider the tenders received and then make recommendation to the URA Board for its decision on the award of the development of the Project. T

URA encourages young people to use innovative ideas to enhance living quality of elderly in old districts
To encourage tertiary students to apply their knowledge and skills, the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) and the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) of the Vocational Training Council (VTC) joined hands to co-organise the “URA/IVE Innovative Design Competition 2018” which provided an opportunity for young people to improve the living quality of elderly in old districts through creative designs. URA Board approves new arrangement for publishing information on joint venture development tenders
The Board of the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Tuesday) approved a new arrangement for publishing information on joint venture development tender results, which will be implemented in the announcement of the next development tender award, in response to the Government’s new initiative introduced in March on disclosing information about successful tenderer under its land sale programme. At present, upon the URA Board’s approval for tender award, the URA would issue a press release to announce to the public the identity of the successful tenderer and its holding company. URA’s Sung Hing Lane/Kwai Heung Street project: Authorisation by the Secretary for Development
The Secretary for Development (SDEV) has authorised the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) to proceed with the Sung Hing Lane/Kwai Heung Street redevelopment project in the Central and Western District, which is published in the Gazette today (Friday). The project was implemented by way of a development project in accordance with the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance (URAO) and was commenced on 28 July 2017, followed by a two-month publication period, during which written objections were received. The URA had deliberated on the objections and submitted the project to SDEV for consideration on 12 December 2017 in accordance with the URAO. 38 Expressions of Interest received for URA’s Tung Chau Street/Kweilin Street Demand-led Redevelopment Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of 38 Expressions of Interest for the development of the Tung Chau Street/Kweilin Street demand-led redevelopment project in Sham Shui Po when the invitation for submission closed today (Tuesday). A tender review panel under the URA Board will shortlist the qualified developers, taking into consideration their experience and financial capability to undertake the development in accordance with the requirements and criteria set by the URA. The URA will soon invite the qualified developers to submit tenders for the development based on the principal tender terms approved by the URA Board earlier. URA commences redevelopment projects in two districts to improve the built environment through replanning and rationalising land use
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Friday) commences the planning procedures of two redevelopment projects in the Central and Western District, and Tai Kok Tsui which will bring more planning and social benefits to the community. Invitation for Expressions of Interest for Development of URA’s Tung Chau Street/Kweilin Street Demand-led Redevelopment Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will invite interested developers to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the development of the Tung Chau Street/Kweilin Street demand-led redevelopment project in Sham Shui Po tomorrow (Thursday). The project site, which covers an area of about 1,490 square metres, was commenced in April 2013 under the second round of the URA’s Demand-led Redevelopment Projects (Pilot Scheme). Upon completion, the project will provide a maximum total gross floor area of about 13,410 square metres. URA’s response to media enquiries concerning Staunton Street/Wing Lee Street Project
In response to media enquiries concerning the Staunton Street/Wing Lee Street Project (H19), a spokesman for the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) said today (Wednesday): The URA currently has not commenced any demolition works within the Staunton Street/Wing Lee Street project area. With regard to the arrangement of the buildings at Nos. 4 – 10 Wa In Fong West within the project area, the URA has also not made any decision yet. URA partners with young people to serve residents in old districts
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) joined hands with eight tertiary institutions and social service organisations to bring love and care to residents in old districts through a series of programmes under the 2017/18 Community Service Partnership Scheme (CSPS). Over 80 participating volunteers and beneficiaries of the programmes came together for a funfair today (Saturday) at the URA’s H6 CONET where Chinese handcraft workshops were held as they embraced the approach of the Year of the Dog. A consortium of Sino Land Company Limited and Chuang’s Consortium International Limited wins development contract of URA’s Reclamation Street/Shantung Street Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Monday) announced that a consortium, Top Harmony Development Limited, consisting of Sino Land Company Limited and Chuang’s Consortium International Limited, has won the contract for the development of Reclamation Street/Shantung Street Project (the Project) in Mong Kok. The URA earlier invited a number of qualified property developers/consortia to submit tenders for the Project following an expression of interest exercise. The URA received a total of 16 tenders when the submission of tender closed on 4 December 2017.
