Result of Expression of Interest for Development of Site B of Peel Street/Graham Street Project in Central
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of 18 Expressions of Interest for the development of Site B at Peel Street / Graham Street project in Central on the closing date today (Friday). A tender review panel under the URA Board will shortlist qualified companies and invite them to submit tenders for the development. The tender exercise will take place in the near future. The Peel Street / Graham Street project comprises a total of three sites known as Site A, Site B and Site C for phased implementation. The first phase, Site B, is bounded by Peel Street, Gage Street and Graham Street covering a site area of about 1,690 square metres. URA to carry out pilot scheme in the redevelopment of industrial buildings
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) welcomes the Government's announcement made by the Financial Secretary in his 2012-13 Budget Speech today (Wednesday) inviting the URA to carry out pilot scheme to redevelop industrial buildings. The URA will take proactive action to implement the initiative which will help release land for residential and commercial development. The URA will carry out one to two redevelopment projects on industrial buildings over the next two years in the form of a pilot scheme. "A special task force to be headed by URA's Managing Director Quinn Law will be set up for this and an implementation plan will be drawn up quickly for our Board's consideration and approval," a spokesman for the URA said. Invitation to tender for development of URA's Chi Kiang Street/Ha Heung Road project in To Kwa Wan
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Wednesday) invited a total of 17 property developers to tender for the joint development of the Chi Kiang Street/Ha Heung Road project in To Kwa Wan. The project site is about 930 square metres and upon completion is expected to deliver a total gross floor area of about 8,380 square metres for an estimated total of 116 residential units, together with the provision of commercial space of about 1,400 square metres. The URA plans to provide about 50% of the total number of residential units in this project with a saleable area of about 46.5 square metres, i.e. about 500 square feet. The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) tomorrow (Tuesday) will invite interested parties to submit Expressions of Interest for the joint development of Site B at Peel Street / Graham Street project in Central. The Peel Street / Graham project comprises a total of three sites known as Site A, Site B and Site C to be implemented by phases. The first phase, Site B, is bounded by Peel Street, Gage Street and Graham Street covering a site area of about 1,690 square metres. Invitation for Responses to Request for Information for Central Oasis Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Monday) invited interested parties to respond to request for information for the Central Oasis project. Information collected will be used to facilitate the future invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) for the project. Relevant ideas and comments received from the business sector will also assist URA in formulating the business structure for the future operation of the project. URA’s Pak Tai Street/San Shan Road project: Authorization by the Secretary for Development
The Secretary for Development (SDEV) has authorized the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) to proceed with the Pak Tai Street/San Shan Road project in Ma Tau Kok, Kowloon. The authorization for the project is given under Section 24 (4) (a) of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance (URAO) and is published in the Gazette today (Friday). The project was implemented by way of a development project in accordance with Section 26 of the URAO. The implementation notice of the Pak Tai Street/San Shan Road project was published in the Gazette on 25 March 2011 under Section 23 of the URAO. It was followed by a two-month consultation period, during which an objection was received and deliberated. Graham Street Market Promotion Commenced
A three-week promotional activity of the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) has officially commenced today (Tuesday) to enliven the century-old Graham Street Market. Its shoppers and patrons will be rewarded with special gifts when making purchases from operators taking part in the scheme. Over 90 shop and stall operators of the Graham Street Market have joined the scheme, which is the second of its kind after the Double Rewards Scheme launched in December 2010. Officiated by the Managing Director of the URA, Mr Quinn Law, the Vice Chairman of the Central & Western District Council, Mr Chan Hok-fung, and the Market Ambassador 'Siu Yee', the activity is launched with an aim to enhance public understanding of the features, activities, food and delicacies of the market.
