Progress of archaeological excavation works of Nga Tsin Wai Village Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) announced today (7 June) the preliminary findings of the Archaeological Impact Assessment (AIA) of the Nga Tsin Wai Village Project (The Project) as well as the works in progress. This includes a further archaeological investigation and excavation based on the recommendations made by the independent archaeological expert for a holistic assessment of the site’s overall heritage value. 20 tenders received for development of URA’s Tung Chau Street/Kweilin Street Redevelopment Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of 20 tenders for the Tung Chau Street/Kweilin Street Redevelopment Project (the Project) in Sham Shui Po when the invitation for submission of tender closed today (Wednesday). A tender review panel (TRP) under the URA Board will consider the tenders received and make recommendation to the URA Board for its decision on the award of the development of the Project. The URA earlier invited interested developers to submit Expressions of Interest for the Project. After careful consideration of the Expressions of Interest received, the TRP invited 38 property developers to submit tender. URA to issue acquisition offers to Sung Hing Lane/Kwai Heung Street project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will soon issue acquisition offers to property owners affected by the Sung Hing Lane/Kwai Heung Street redevelopment project (the Project) in the Central and Western District. Eligible owner-occupiers of domestic properties of the Project will be offered $23,568 per square foot of saleable area which is the unit rate of a notional replacement flat of seven years old situated in the same locality (“Notional Unit Rate”). The Notional Unit Rate is approved by the Land, Rehousing and Compensation Committee (LRCC) of the URA Board today (Monday). Invitation to Tender for Development of URA’s Tung Chau Street/Kweilin Street Redevelopment Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Thursday) invites a total of 38 property developers to tender for the development of the Tung Chau Street/Kweilin Street Redevelopment Project (the Project) in Sham Shui Po. The URA will provide the relevant tender documents to the invited property developers, based on which they can submit tenders for the development. All tender submissions should reach the URA Headquarters at 26/F, COSCO Tower, 183 Queen’s Road Central, by 12:00 noon on 30 May 2018 (Wednesday). Any submission of the tender received after the specified closing time mentioned above will not be accepted. The tender review panel will consider the tenders received and then make recommendation to the URA Board for its decision on the award of the development of the Project. T

URA encourages young people to use innovative ideas to enhance living quality of elderly in old districts
To encourage tertiary students to apply their knowledge and skills, the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) and the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) of the Vocational Training Council (VTC) joined hands to co-organise the “URA/IVE Innovative Design Competition 2018” which provided an opportunity for young people to improve the living quality of elderly in old districts through creative designs. URA Board approves new arrangement for publishing information on joint venture development tenders
The Board of the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Tuesday) approved a new arrangement for publishing information on joint venture development tender results, which will be implemented in the announcement of the next development tender award, in response to the Government’s new initiative introduced in March on disclosing information about successful tenderer under its land sale programme. At present, upon the URA Board’s approval for tender award, the URA would issue a press release to announce to the public the identity of the successful tenderer and its holding company. URA’s Sung Hing Lane/Kwai Heung Street project: Authorisation by the Secretary for Development
The Secretary for Development (SDEV) has authorised the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) to proceed with the Sung Hing Lane/Kwai Heung Street redevelopment project in the Central and Western District, which is published in the Gazette today (Friday). The project was implemented by way of a development project in accordance with the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance (URAO) and was commenced on 28 July 2017, followed by a two-month publication period, during which written objections were received. The URA had deliberated on the objections and submitted the project to SDEV for consideration on 12 December 2017 in accordance with the URAO. 38 Expressions of Interest received for URA’s Tung Chau Street/Kweilin Street Demand-led Redevelopment Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of 38 Expressions of Interest for the development of the Tung Chau Street/Kweilin Street demand-led redevelopment project in Sham Shui Po when the invitation for submission closed today (Tuesday). A tender review panel under the URA Board will shortlist the qualified developers, taking into consideration their experience and financial capability to undertake the development in accordance with the requirements and criteria set by the URA. URA commences redevelopment projects in two districts to improve the built environment through replanning and rationalising land use
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Friday) commences the planning procedures of two redevelopment projects in the Central and Western District, and Tai Kok Tsui which will bring more planning and social benefits to the community. Invitation for Expressions of Interest for Development of URA’s Tung Chau Street/Kweilin Street Demand-led Redevelopment Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will invite interested developers to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the development of the Tung Chau Street/Kweilin Street demand-led redevelopment project in Sham Shui Po tomorrow (Thursday). The project site, which covers an area of about 1,490 square metres, was commenced in April 2013 under the second round of the URA’s Demand-led Redevelopment Projects (Pilot Scheme). Upon completion, the project will provide a maximum total gross floor area of about 13,410 square metres.
