Invitation for Expressions of Interest for Development of URA’s Tung Chau Street/Kweilin Street Demand-led Redevelopment Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will invite interested developers to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the development of the Tung Chau Street/Kweilin Street demand-led redevelopment project in Sham Shui Po tomorrow (Thursday).
The project site, which covers an area of about 1,490 square metres, was commenced in April 2013 under the second round of the URA’s Demand-led Redevelopment Projects (Pilot Scheme). Upon completion, the project will provide a maximum total gross floor area of about 13,410 square metres. The commercial portion of the new development will be designated for the Sham Shui Po Design and Fashion Project in response to the initiatives of the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau to nurture design and fashion talents and turn the district into a design and fashion landmark.
To create a sustainable living environment, the successful tender will be required to construct the development in compliance with the standard and quality requirements, the environmentally sustainable provisions and smart provisions in respect of home energy and water consumption system, home health and wellness system, smart display, home waste management system, building information modelling system and building management system set out in the development agreement.
Information about the submission of the EOI for the project site will be available at the URA’s website (www.ura.org.hk) and published in some local newspapers tomorrow. The Invitation Brochure for the project can be obtained upon request from the URA’s Headquarters. Developers interested in the development are requested to submit the duly completed and signed Reply Form, together with the required information to substantiate their development experience and financial capability to undertake the development in accordance with the requirements and criteria set by the URA. All EOI should be submitted to the URA’s Headquarters at 26/F COSCO Tower, 183 Queen’s Road Central, by 12:00 noon on 20 March 2018 (Tuesday). Any submission of the EOI received after the specified closing time mentioned above will not be accepted.
A tender review panel under the URA Board will consider all EOI submissions and shortlist qualified companies, which will be invited to submit tenders for the development later.
