Kowloon Development Company Limited wins Macpherson Indoor Stadium redevelopment project
The Hong Kong Playground Association (HKPA) and the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Friday) announced that a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kowloon Development Company Limited, Wealth Genesis Limited, has won the bid to implement the Macpherson Indoor Stadium redevelopment project in Mong Kok in a public tender exercise. The project covers a site area of about 26,000 square feet. Upon completion, the project will deliver a new and modern indoor stadium and a youth centre, in addition to about 206,000 square feet of residential and commercial floor area. Kowloon Development Company Limited is one of the three property developers who submitted tenders. Tender closes for Macpherson Indoor Stadium redevelopment project in Mong Kok
In response to media enquiries on the tender submissions for the joint development of the Macpherson Indoor Stadium in Mong Kok, the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) and the Hong Kong Playground Association (HKPA) today (Friday) made the following statement: A total of 3 tender offers have been received for the joint venture development of the Macpherson Indoor Stadium in Mong Kok. A tender review panel will consider the tenders and make recommendation to the URA Board for a decision in due course. Invitation to Tender for Macpherson Indoor Stadium redevelopment project in Mong Kok
The Hong Kong Playground Association (HKPA) and the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Wednesday) invited a total of 15 property developers to tender for the joint development of the Macpherson Indoor Stadium redevelopment project in Mong Kok. The project covers a site area of about 26,000 square feet. Upon completion, it is expected to deliver a new and modern indoor stadium and a youth centre, in addition to about 206,000 square feet of residential and commercial floor area. Expression of Interest for URA's Macpherson Indoor Stadium redevelopment project in Mong Kok
In response to media enquiries today (Monday) on result of the expression of interest exercise for implementing the Macpherson Indoor Stadium development project in Mong Kok, a spokesman of the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) said that a total of 16 submissions have been received. A tender review panel under the URA Board will shortlist the qualified parties and invite them to submit a formal tender for the development. It is expected that the tender exercise will take place in the near future. The project covers a site area of about 26,000 square feet. Upon completion, it is expected to deliver a new and modern indoor stadium and a youth centre, in addition to about 206,000 square feet of residential and commercial floor area. (END)

Phased development and one-off acquisition for Kwun Tong Town Centre project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) has decided today (Monday) to implement the Kwun Tong Town Centre project in phases and acquire all property interests in one go. The URA targets to issue acquisition offers to owners of all affected 1,653 property interests in December this year. Earlier, the Town Planning Board (TPB) considered all public representations made to the Development Scheme Plans (DSPs), and has recently decided to submit the plans to the Chief Executive in Council for approval. Sino Land Company Limited wins URA's Baker Court Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Monday) announced that a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sino Land Company Limited, Union Harvest Investments Limited, has won the joint development contract for its Baker Court project in Hung Hom in a public tender exercise. The project covers a site area of about 2,980 square feet and upon completion, is expected to deliver a maximum gross floor area of about 26,800 square feet for residential and commercial use. Based on the recommendation of a tender review panel appointed by the URA Board, members of the Board agreed that the offer made by Sino Land Company Limited has met all the tender requirements and, at the same time, represented the best benefit to the Authority. Invitation for Expression of Interest for Macpherson Indoor Stadium Redevelopment Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will invite tomorrow (Tuesday) real estate developers to submit an expression of interest for the implementation of the Macpherson Indoor Stadium redevelopment project in Mongkok. The project covers a site area of about 26,000 square feet. Upon completion, it is expected to deliver a new and modern indoor stadium and a youth centre, in addition to about 206,000 square feet of residential and commercial floor area. Parties interested in the project are requested to indicate their experience and financial capability to undertake the development in accordance with the requirements and criteria set by the Authority. URA welcomes Town Planning Board's decision on Kwun Tong Town Centre project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Friday) welcomed the decision of the Town Planning Board (TPB) to submit the two development scheme plans of the Kwun Tong Town Centre project to the Chief Executive-in-Council for approval after completing the statutory public consultation and hearing process. This represents a major stride in the implementation of the mega project. URA Managing Director, Mr Quinn Law, said: "The URA plans to begin property acquisition for the affected owners, in about four to five months, after obtaining ExCo's approval. We hope that property acquisition can take place by the end of 2008." Reference Notes on the MLP of Staunton Street / Wing Lee Street Project
In 2007, the TPB proposed an amendment to the draft Development Scheme Plan to the Staunton Street/Wing Lee Street, which was subsequently approved by the Chief Executive in Council in October 2007. The revised Planning Brief was then endorsed by the TPB in November 2007. Views collected during public consultation have been carefully considered by the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) in the course of the preparation of Master Layout Plans (MLPs). On 8 December, 2007, a community workshop was held to solicit the public views and aspirations of the proposed development in the H19 area.
