URA Further Extends Rent Relief Period for Its Tenants
In view of the ongoing impact brought by COVID-19 pandemic to the economy, the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) announces today (14 October 2022) to further extend the rent relief for its domestic and commercial tenants in its properties for another three months, from October 2022 until the end of December 2022, in a bid to assist the URA’s tenants in the face of current economic challenges amid the pandemic to sustain their businesses. The URA’s rent relief measures for its tenants have been in place since April 2020. The cumulative amount of rent concession provided earlier together with the budget earmarked for the upcoming round of measures will reach around HK$225 million. The new round of rent relief will benefit over 1,200 domestic and commercial tenants. The measures include:

URA Commences Two Redevelopment Projects in To Kwa Wan to Create a Vibrant Harbourfront through Effective Planning
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (7 October 2022) commences the statutory planning procedures for two redevelopment projects in To Kwa Wan. By adopting a “planning-led, district-based” urban renewal approach to regenerate the built environment of the old district, a holistic plan will be formulated to restructure and re-plan the land uses of the area to improve the living environment of the residents. In the meantime, the redevelopment will also improve the connectivity of To Kwa Wan with the Kai Tak Development Area and create a vibrant harbourfront, bringing greater planning benefits to the community. Seven Tenders Received for URA’s Wing Kwong Street / Sung On Street Development Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of seven tenders for the development of the Wing Kwong Street / Sung On Street Development Project (the Project) in To Kwa Wan when the invitation for submission of tender closed today (6 October 2022). A tender review panel (TRP) under the URA Board will consider the tenders received and make recommendation to the URA Board for its decision on the award of the development of the Project. The URA earlier invited interested developers / consortia to submit Expressions of Interest for the Project. After careful consideration of the Expressions of Interest received, the TRP invited 31 developers / consortia to submit tenders. 33 Expressions of Interest Received for Development of URA’s Queen’s Road West/ In Ku Lane Development Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of 33 Expressions of Interest for the development of the Queen’s Road West/ In Ku Lane Development Project (the Project) in Sai Ying Pun when the invitation for submission closed today (27 September 2022). A tender review panel under the URA Board will shortlist the qualified developers from the submissions, taking into consideration their development experience and financial capability to undertake the development of the Project in accordance with the shortlisting criteria set by the tender review panel. URA Publishes Tender Amounts of Unsuccessful Submissions for Sung Hing Lane / Kwai Heung Street Development Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (14 September 2022) published on an anonymous basis the tender amounts offered by the unsuccessful but conforming tenderers in the tender for the development of Sung Hing Lane / Kwai Heung Street Development Project (the Project) in Sai Ying Pun. The URA commenced the tender exercise of the Project earlier and a total of nine tenders were received when the tender closed on 11 July 2022. Invitation for Expressions of Interest for Development of URA’s Queen’s Road West / In Ku Lane Development Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will invite interested developers to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the development of the Queen’s Road West / In Ku Lane Development Project (the Project) in Sai Ying Pun next Tuesday (13 September 2022). The Project, which covers a site area of 1,566.7 square metres, was commenced in March 2018. Upon completion, it is planned to provide a total gross floor area of about 11,290 square metres. The Project aims to rationalise the land uses and layout within the area by re-planning the public open space to improve the connectivity, accessibility and built environment. The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (6 September 2022) invites a total of 31 developers / consortia to tender for the development of the Wing Kwong Street / Sung On Street Development Project (the Project) in To Kwa Wan. The URA will provide the relevant tender documents to the invited developers / consortia, based on which they can submit tenders for the development. Invitation for Expressions of Interest for Development of URA’s Kwun Tong Town Centre Development Areas 4 & 5 Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will invite interested developers / consortia to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the development of the Kwun Tong Town Centre Development Areas 4 & 5 Project (The Project) tomorrow (10 August 2022). The Kwun Tong Town Centre Project is the URA’s largest single redevelopment project ever, with a phased redevelopment of five areas.
