Invitation for Expressions of Interest for Development of URA’s Fuk Chak Street/Li Tak Street Demand-led Redevelopment Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will invite interested developers to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the development of the Fuk Chak Street/Li Tak Street demand-led redevelopment project in Tai Kok Tsui tomorrow (Wednesday). The project site, which covers an area of 768 square metres, was commenced in June 2013 under the second round of the URA's Demand-led Redevelopment Projects (Pilot Scheme). It is tentatively scheduled for completion by 2020/2021, upon which it is planned to provide about 96 residential units with a total residential gross floor area of about 5,103 square metres and 637 square metres of commercial gross floor area. URA’s Hung Fook Street/Kai Ming Street project: Authorisation by the Secretary for Development
The Secretary for Development (SDEV) has authorised the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) to proceed with the Hung Fook Street/Kai Ming Street redevelopment project in Kowloon City, which was published in the Gazette today (Friday). The project was implemented by way of a development project in accordance with the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance (URAO). The project was commenced on 3 June 2016, followed by a two-month publication period, during which written objections were received. The URA had deliberated on the objections and submitted the project to SDEV for consideration on 1 November 2016 in accordance with the URAO. Sino Land Company Limited wins development contract of URA’s Peel Street/Graham Street Project (Site A)
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Wednesday) announced that Cheer View Holdings Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sino Land Company Limited, has won the contract for the development of Site A of the Peel Street/Graham Street project (the Project). The URA earlier invited a number of qualified property developers to submit tenders for Site A of the Project following an Expression of Interest exercise. The URA received a total of 22 tenders when the submission of tender closed on 20 February 2017. After careful deliberation, the URA Board considered that the tender offer made by Sino Land Company Limited has met the tender requirements of Site A of the Project and thus decided to award the development contract to Sino Land Company Limited. Property acquisition for Man On Street/Tai Kok Tsui Road demand-led redevelopment project to start soon
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will soon issue conditional acquisition offers to property owners affected by the Man On Street/Tai Kok Tsui Road demand-led redevelopment project in Tai Kok Tsui, which was under the fifth round of the demand-led redevelopment project (pilot scheme), following its commencement in December 2016. Eligible owner-occupiers of domestic properties of Nos. 8 - 30 Man On Street (even numbers) and Nos. 193 - 199 Tai Kok Tsui Road (odd numbers) will be offered $13,391 per square foot of saleable area which is the unit rate of a notional replacement flat of seven years old situated in a similar locality ("Notional Flat Unit Rate"). URA welcomes Government’s initiative to allow property owners to join “Smart Tender” at a concessionary rate
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) welcomes the initiative announced in the 2017-18 Budget by the Financial Secretary today (Wednesday) to earmark $300 million to allow property owners to participate in the "Smart Tender" Building Rehabilitation Facilitating Services (Pilot Scheme) of the Authority at a concessionary rate. The URA introduced the Smart Tender pilot scheme in May 2016 to provide Owners' Corporations (OCs) of private buildings with a range of facilitating services for the repair and maintenance of their buildings. The services include the provision of professional and technical support to the OCs during the procurement process of contractors for carrying out common area rehabilitation works of the buildings with the aim of minimising the exposure of tender rigging. 22 tenders received for development of URA’s Peel Street/Graham Street Project (Site A)
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of 22 tenders for Site A of the Peel Street/Graham Street project (the Project) when the invitation for submission of tender closed today (Monday). A tender review panel (TRP) of the URA Board will consider the tenders received and make recommendation to the URA Board for its decision on the award of tender for Site A of the Project. The URA earlier invited interested developers to submit Expression of Interest for the tender of Site A of the Project. After careful consideration of the Expression of Interest received, the TRP invited 42 developers to submit tenders for Site A of the Project. The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Wednesday) invited a total of 42 property developers to tender for the development of Site A of the Peel Street/Graham Street project. The URA earlier invited interested developers to submit Expressions of Interest for the development, and a total of 43 submissions were received when the expression of interest exercise closed on 10 January 2017. After careful consideration, a tender review panel under the URA Board has decided to invite 42 qualified property developers to tender for the project. The URA will provide the relevant tender documents and principal tender terms approved earlier by the URA Board to the qualified developers, based on which they can submit tenders for the development. 43 Expressions of Interest received for Development of URA’s Peel Street/Graham Street Project (Site A)
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of 43 Expressions of Interest for Site A of the Peel Street/Graham Street project when the invitation for submission closed today (Tuesday). A tender review panel under the URA Board will shortlist the qualified developers, taking into consideration their experience and financial capability to undertake the development in accordance with the requirements and criteria set by the URA. URA joins hands with young people to serve residents in old districts
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) has partnered with 10 tertiary institutions and social service organisations under the Community Service Partnership Scheme (CSPS) in this 2016/17 academic year to organise various programmes to serve the residents in the old districts. An Old Hong Kong-themed party was especially held today (Saturday) for about 80 elderly residents in Kowloon City/To Kwa Wan, including those affected by the URA redevelopment projects, to celebrate the approach of the Year of the Rooster. Entering its fifth year, CSPS is a collaboration of tertiary institutions and social service organisation that aims to service the older community in Hong Kong.
