36 Expressions of Interest Received for URA’s Hung Fook Street / Ngan Hon Street Development Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of 36 Expressions of Interest for the development of the Hung Fook Street / Ngan Hon Street Development Project (the Project) in To Kwa Wan when the invitation for submission closed today (28 September 2021). A tender review panel under the URA Board will shortlist the qualified developers/ consortia from the submissions, taking into consideration their development experience and financial capability to undertake the development in accordance with the shortlisting criteria set by the tender review panel. Based on the principal tender terms approved by the URA Board, shortlisted developers/ consortia will be invited to submit tenders for the development of the Project. URA Further Extends Rent Relief Period for Its Tenants
In view of the ongoing impact brought by COVID-19 pandemic to the economy of Hong Kong, the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) announces today (27 September 2021) to further extend the rent relief for its domestic and commercial tenants in its properties for another six months, from October 2021 until the end of March 2022, in a bid to assist the URA’s tenants in the face of current economic challenges amid the pandemic to sustain their businesses and support employment. The URA’s rent relief measures have been in place since April 2020, with the amount of rent concession to date exceeding $120 million. URA Commences Two Redevelopment Projects in Sham Shui Po Optimising Land Resources to Enhance Urban Renewal Effectiveness
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (24 September 2021) commences the statutory planning procedures of two redevelopment projects in Sham Shui Po. The URA has been adopting a planning-led approach in which a holistic study and plan for the old district are formulated before finalising a project, such that the usage of land is being examined in a holistic manner for restructuring and re-planning, with an aim to enhance the development potential of the area and improve the overall living conditions of the resident through redevelopment. URA’s YM² Hosts HK’s First Major Photography & Sculpture Exhibition on Our Athletes at Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games
To celebrate the most outstanding results ever achieved by Hong Kong’s athletes at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games (“Tokyo 2020”,) the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) hosts the Opening Ceremony for the "Sporting Successes, Cheer Up Hongkongers” Photography and Sculpture Exhibition at Kwun Tong’s YM² today (20 September 2021). This is the first time Hong Kong has presented a Tokyo 2020-themed photography exhibition of this scale. In addition, sculptures of Hong Kong’s Olympic medallists from Tokyo 2020 and the previous Games will also be on display. The event seeks to recognise the performance of and cheer on Hong Kong’s athletes, and to generate community support for all the local sportsmen and sportswomen. Invitation for Expressions of Interest for Development of URA’s Hung Fook Street / Ngan Hon Street Development Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will invite interested developers/ consortia to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the development of the Hung Fook Street / Ngan Hon Street Development Project (the Project) in To Kwa Wan tomorrow (14 September 2021). The Project, which covers a site area of 4,581 square metres, was commenced in June 2016. Upon completion, it will provide a maximum total gross floor area of 41,229 square metres. Tender Awarded for URA’s Bailey Street / Wing Kwong Street Development Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) announced today (9 September 2021) that the contract for the development of Bailey Street / Wing Kwong Street Development Project (the Project) in To Kwa Wan has been awarded to Nation Star Development Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Henderson Land Development Company Limited, with a tender amount at HK$8,189 million. The URA earlier invited 33 property developers/ consortia to submit tenders for the Project following an expression of interest exercise. The URA received a total of six tenders from these 33 property developers/ consortia when the submission of tender closed on 23 August 2021. URA and Chun Wo Pioneer in Concrete Modular Integrated Construction to Build Hong Kong’s First Private Residential Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) announces today (7 September 2021) that the URA Board has approved the tender award to Chun Wo Construction Holdings Company Limited (Chun Wo Construction) for the superstructure works contract of the Ash Street Development Project (the Project) in Tai Kok Tsui. With the application of the Concrete Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) method, this Project will become Hong Kong’s first private residential development project using this innovative construction technology. In recent years, the Government has been actively promoting the application of MiC in public and private developments. SPORTS EXPO Cheers for Hong Kong Athletes’ Success in 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games
The Hong Kong Delegation completed the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games with flying colours. Phase One of Revitalised Central Market Opens Signifing Blending Old and New
Jointly managed and operated by the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) and Chinachem Group (the Group), the revitalised Central Market celebrates its soft opening today, marking a new milestone for the Grade 3 historic building which is now open for public enjoyment, as phase one of the restoration and revitalisation work reaches completion. The new-look Central Market has captured and preserved many of its historical elements and integrated these into the open plan floor design. Six Tenders Received for URA’s Bailey Street / Wing Kwong Street Development Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of six tenders for the Bailey Street / Wing Kwong Street Development Project (the Project) in To Kwa Wan when the invitation for submission of tender closed today (23 August 2021). A tender review panel (TRP) under the URA Board will consider the tenders received and make recommendation to the URA Board for its decision on the award of the development of the Project.
