Responses by URA to 2024 Policy Address

In response to the announcement made by the Chief Executive in the 2024 Policy Address today (16 October 2024) on the initiatives to expedite urban redevelopment and further improve building safety and building management, a spokesperson for the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) said that the URA welcomes these initiatives and will fully support their implementation. URA Launches Home Safety Improvement Community Programme to Enhance Home and Fire Safety for the Elderly and Underprivileged Families in Old Districts

One Tender Submission Received for the URA’s Kai Tak Road / Sa Po Road Development Scheme

The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received one tender submission for the development of the Kai Tak Road / Sa Po Road Development Scheme (KC-015 Project) in Kowloon City before the deadline for submission at noon today (20 September 2024). A URA spokesperson remarked that the URA will not speculate on the considerations of the developers and consortia in submitting tender for the KC-015 Project.  Developers and consortia in general take into account various factors when bidding for development projects, such as their liquidity reserves, the impact of interest rates on interest expenses and property prices, construction costs, the inventory of unsold units, and prevailing market demand. URA’s HK$12 Billion Triple-tranche Hong Kong Dollar Bond Issuance

The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) announced today (21 August 2024) the successful pricing of its triple-tranche HK$12 billion senior bonds offering under its US$3 billion Medium Term Note Programme (the Offering). The Offering comprises HK$4 billion 3-year, HK$5 billion 5-year and HK$3 billion 10-year bonds. The proceeds from the Offering will fund its capital expenditure on urban renewal projects and for general corporate purposes. Invitation to Tender – URA’s Kai Tak Road / Sa Po Road Development Project

The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (12 August 2024) invited a total of 30 developers and consortia to submit a tender for the development of the Kai Tak Road / Sa Po Road Development Project (the Project) in Kowloon City.  The URA will provide the tender documents to the invited developers and consortia to prepare their tenders.  Interested developers or consortia have to submit their tender proposals to URA Headquarters at 26/F COSCO Tower, 183 Queen’s Road Central, by 12 noon on 20 September 2024 (Friday).  Late submissions will not be considered.  A tender review panel under the URA Board will carefully examine the submissions received and recommend to the URA Board to make the decision regarding the award of the development contract of the Project.  Commenced in February

URA Commences Redevelopment Project in Kowloon City to Create Greater Planning Gains through Holistic Planning with Approved Adjoining Development Scheme

The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (9 August 2024) commences the Ma Tau Wai Road / Lok Shan Road Development Project (KC-020 Project) in Kowloon City and proceeds with the relevant statutory planning procedures. Through integrated planning and design, the KC-020 Project will create synergy with the adjoining Kau Pui Lung Road / Chi Kiang Street Development Scheme (CBS-2:KC Scheme) approved earlier, bringing extended planning gains to the area.
