17 tenders received for development of URA’s Tonkin Street/ Fuk Wing Street Development Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of 17 tenders for the Tonkin Street/ Fuk Wing Street Development Project (the Project) in Sham Shui Po when the invitation for submission of tender closed today (7 April 2020). A tender review panel (TRP) under the URA Board will consider the tenders received and make recommendation to the URA Board for its decision on the award of the development of the Project. The URA earlier invited interested developers to submit Expressions of Interest for the Project. After careful consideration of the Expressions of Interest received, the TRP invited 36 property developers to submit tender. Temporary Closure of URA public facilities
In view of the Government’s latest measures to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) announces today (26 March 2020) that its public facilities are temporarily closed. Following the earlier announcement of temporary closure of SPORTS EXPO, the Urban Renewal Exploration Centre (UREC) will also temporarily suspend its public visiting session on Fridays from tomorrow (Friday, 27 March 2020). Visiting sessions of the UREC for schools and non-government organisations which are reserved from Mondays to Thursdays, as well as docent services at old urban district, will remain closed until further notice. Temporary closure of SPORTS EXPO from tomorrow
In view of the Government’s latest measures to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) announces today (21 March 2020) that SPORTS EXPO located in THE FOREST in Mong Kok will be temporarily closed from tomorrow (Sunday, 22 March 2020) until further notice. SPORTS EXPO Reopens for Public Visit
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) announces today (13 March 2020) that the SPORTS EXPO located in THE FOREST in Mong Kok will reopen on 16 March 2020 (Monday). The online booking service of the SPORTS EXPO (https://k28.ura-vb.org.hk) has been resumed with immediate effect for the public to book their visit at the date and time slot available. Infection control measures will be implemented at the SPORTS EXPO to reduce the risk of infection and the spread of the virus. These measures include limiting the number of visitors for each visiting session, temporary closure of the Virtual Reality (VR) game section which requires the wearing of VR headset, stepping up the cleansing of the game devices and interactive displays in exhibition zone at the venue, and shortening the opening hours. Urban Renewal Exploration Centre Reopens Public Visiting Session
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) announces today (9 March 2020) that the Urban Renewal Exploration Centre (UREC) will reopen its public visiting session on 13 March 2020 (Friday). The online booking service of the UREC (http://urec.org.hk/) will resume tomorrow (10 March 2020) for the public to book their visit at the date and time slot available. Infection control measures will be implemented at the UREC to reduce the risk of infection and the spread of the virus. These measures include limiting the number of visitors for each visiting session, providing alcohol hand sanitizer, and stepping up the cleansing of the facilities at the venue. Invitation to Tender for Development of URA’s Tonkin Street/ Fuk Wing Street Development Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (6 March 2020) invites a total of 36 property developers to tender for the development of the Tonkin Street/ Fuk Wing Street Development Project (the Project) in Sham Shui Po. The URA will provide the relevant tender documents to the invited property developers, based on which they can submit tenders for the development. All tender submissions should reach the URA Headquarters at 26/F COSCO Tower, 183 Queen’s Road Central, by 12:00 noon on 7 April 2020 (Tuesday). Any submission of the tender received after the specified closing time mentioned above will not be accepted. The tender review panel will consider the tenders received and then make recommendation to the URA Board for its decision on the award of the development of the Project. The

37 Expressions of Interest received for URA’s Tonkin Street/ Fuk Wing Street Development Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of 37 Expressions of Interest for the development of the Tonkin Street / Fuk Wing Street Development Project (the Project) in Sham Shui Po when the invitation for submission of Expressions of Interest closed today (18 February 2020). A tender review panel under the URA Board will shortlist the qualified developers from the submissions, taking into consideration their development experience and financial capability to undertake the development in accordance with the shortlisting criteria set by the tender review panel. The URA will soon invite the shortlisted developers to submit tenders for the development of the Project based on the principal tender terms approved by the URA Board. Invitation for Expressions of Interest for Development of URA’s Tonkin Street/Fuk Wing Street Development Project
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will invite interested developers to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the development of the Tonkin Street/Fuk Wing Street Development Project (the Project) in Sham Shui Po tomorrow (7 February 2020). The Project, which covers a site area of about 1,070 square metres, was commenced in March 2013. Upon completion, it will provide a maximum total gross floor area of about 9,670 square metres. The successful developer will be required to construct the new development in compliance with the standard and quality requirements, the environmentally sustainable provisions and smart provisions set out in the development agreement of the Project with the aim of creating a sustainable living environment. Reopening of URA offices and public facilities
The Urban Renewal Authority announces today (4 February 2020) that its Headquarters in Sheung Wan, the Cheung Sha Wan office, H6 CONET and Urban Renewal Resource Centre are reopened. Urban Renewal Exploration Centre and SPORTS EXPO will remain closed while all educational activities and docent services will be cancelled until further notice. Temporary closure of URA offices and public facilities from tomorrow
To reduce the risk of the spread of the novel coronavirus in the community, the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) announces today (28 January 2020) that its Headquarters in Sheung Wan, the Cheung Sha Wan office and public facilities will be temporarily closed from tomorrow (29 January 2020) until 2 February 2020. All educational activities and docent services will be cancelled during the period. The URA will review the situation before then. Facilities to be temporarily closed include: H6 CONET, Urban Renewal Exploration Centre, SPORTS EXPO and Urban Renewal Resource Centre.
