URA's response to media enquiries
In response to media enquiries concerning the subsidised-sale flat (SSF) scheme to be provided by the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) at the Kai Tak development, a spokesman for the URA said:
A report was made today to the URA Board about the decision to accept applications from single-person households for the URA's SSF scheme at the Kai Tak development in response to the housing need of single-person households.
Both single-person households and two-person or above households are eligible for applying the URA's SSF scheme at the Kai Tak development. The total monthly household income and net asset value of the applicants must not exceed HK$60,000 and HK$3 million respectively. The URA has no plan to set a quota for single-person households and priority for flat selection.
Preparations for the sale arrangement of the URA's SSF scheme are in good progress. The URA will start accepting application for the scheme late December or early January next year. Details of the arrangement will be announced in due course.
