Two URA redevelopment projects in Sham Shui Po: Authorisation by the Secretary for Development
The Secretary for Development (SDEV) has authorised the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) to proceed with two redevelopment projects in Sham Shui Po.
The authorisation, which is published in the Gazette today (Friday), is given under Section 24(4)(a) of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance (URAO) for a redevelopment project at Tonkin Street/Fuk Wing Street and another demand-led redevelopment project at Kowloon Road/Kiu Yam Street in Sham Shui Po.
The two projects were implemented by way of a development project in accordance with Section 26 of the URAO. The implementation notice of the Tonkin Street/Fuk Wing Street project and Kowloon Road/Kiu Yam Street project were published in the Gazette on 8 March 2013 and 12 April 2013 respectively, under Section 23 of the URAO. Written objections were received for both redevelopment projects in the subsequent two-month publication period, for which the URA has completed its deliberations.
In accordance with Section 24(3) of the URAO, the URA submitted the Tonkin Street/Fuk Wing Street project to SDEV for consideration on 5 July 2013, and the Kowloon Road/Kiu Yam Street project on 10 September 2013.

In accordance with Section 28 of the URAO, any objector who considers to be aggrieved by the decision of SDEV may appeal on or before 23 December 2013 by lodging a notice of appeal with the Secretary to the Appeal Board Panel, with a copy to the SDEV.
Plans delineating the boundary of the two projects with a general description are available for public inspection at:

- the URA's Sham Shui Po Neighbourhood Centre (G/F, Shop C, 182 Fuk Wa Street, Sham Shui Po);
- the Public Enquiry Service Centre of the Sham Shui Po District Office (G/F, Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Sham Shui Po); and
- URA's Urban Renewal Resource Centre (No 6, Fuk Tsun Street, Tai Kok Tsui, Kowloon).
