Invitation to Tender for Development of URA’s Fuk Chak Street/Li Tak Street Demand-led Redevelopment Project

The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Tuesday) invited a total of 28 property developers to tender for the development of Fuk Chak Street/Li Tak Street demand-led redevelopment project in Tai Kok Tsui.

The URA earlier invited interested developers to submit Expressions of Interest for the development, and a total of 28 submissions were received when the expression of interest exercise closed on 20 March 2017.  After careful consideration, a tender review panel under the URA Board has decided to invite 28 qualified property developers to tender for the project.

The URA will provide the relevant tender documents and principal tender terms approved earlier by the URA Board to the qualified developers, based on which they can submit tenders for the development.  All tender submissions should reach the URA Headquarters at 26/F, COSCO Tower, 183 Queen's Road Central, by 12:00 noon on 25 May 2017 (Thursday).  Any submission of the tender received after the specified closing time mentioned above will not be accepted.

The tender review panel will later consider the tenders received and make recommendation to the URA Board for its decision on the award of a development agreement.

The project site, which covers an area of 768 square metres, was commenced in June 2013 under the second round of the URA's Demand-led Redevelopment Projects (Pilot Scheme).  The project is tentatively scheduled for completion by 2020/2021, providing about 96 residential units with a total residential gross floor area of about 5,103 square metres and 637 square metres of commercial gross floor area.
