"The URA welcomes the new policy directives for urban renewal announced by the Chief Executive in his Policy Address today. These new initiatives will help us greatly in our continuing efforts to meet the changing expectations of the community with respect to urban renewal.

"Guided by the new Urban Renewal Strategy, URA will work on the implementation details in the coming few months and will make public the details when ready, following their consideration and approval by the Board of the URA.

"URA's priorities remain to improve the living environment of residents in run-down urban areas and fight urban decay in a manner that strives to meet the community's aspirations, with the objective of enhancing our city's vitality through sustainable urban renewal initiatives. We are determined to do everything we can to carry out our urban renewal mission for the benefit of everyone in Hong Kong."
